I really like that name as a title-The Girls of Greentree. I think that may be it. Nothing is concrete yet, but that's what I'm thinking.
I have been pretty busy lately, working at home as a ChaCha.Com search guide. This isn't a great-paying job, but it is a paying job, and I can work as much or as little as I want. Since I'm paid per completed search, I have been working an awful lot the last couple days, and have performed over 800 searches in that time! So I obviously haven't had much time for writing, but I am setting aside a half hour tomorrow for writing. I think Trinity's gonna get in trouble with the law....hmmm.....maybe cocaine possession?? Or exchanging sex for money with an undercover cop?? Oh, the possibilities! What would you like to see happen? Leave a comment and let me know. I appreciate ALL feedback! :-)

A Scene for My Readers
Hi everyone!
I wrote a new scene last night, and though it is a tiny piece of the book, I wanted to share it with all of you, especially since readership has gone up by about 400% within the past week! So, here it is:
Sneak Peak Scene #402
Bailey clocked in to work at 9:01am. She had woke up that morning with terrible pain, chills, and sweat soaking the collar of her shirt.
"Hey Trinity, how's it been so far?" She asked, hoping for an easy day at work.
Trinity rolled her eyes. "Same ol', same ol'", she replied, a disgusted look on her face.
"Damn, I can't wait to get a better job. Has Thomas been in yet?" Bailey hoped he wouldn't be there at all today.
"He's at table 7 bitching about his coffee being too hot and his food being too cold. He's all yours, girl", Trinity smirked.
Bailey did a mental eye roll. He must be out of pills. She sauntered over to his table, where he was sitting with his ever-present sidekick Chris, talking about motorcycles and strippers.
"How's your meal today, guys?" Bailey asked in her best waitress voice.
"I'll have one of you to go." Replied Thomas.
"Babe, you know I have to work today. I can't take off. We're already short one girl." Bailey knew the whole mood was about to change.
"Fuck this place!"
"This place pays me money so I can give it to you!" Bailey felt a rush of heat from her toes to her head. She slammed down the check on the solid oak dining table. "I think you should leave now." She walked away, and after a few seconds, she was smiling from ear to ear because this was the first time she'd ever got the last word when it came to him.
Within five minutes, Tom and Chris were gone, leaving empty beer bottles and shot glasses covering the entire tabletop. Whatever, Bailey thought to herself. I'm just glad hes gone. For now.
It never failed that Bailey would come home from a long day's work, only to find Tom in his boxer shorts sitting on her couch watching "Steve Wilkos" with a tall can of Bud Light in his hand.

Check out the Reviews So Far...
Hello readers,
I have been nursing my pinched nerve the past few days. I went to physical therapy and found out I have Scoliosis and a deviated tail bone on top of it.
I am feeling a little better and hoping to write a couple of scenes today. I have received some pretty great feedback so far, and I wanted to share it with all of you. Link referral is a great program, guys! They send targeted visitors to your website and offer a lot of different webpages for you to visit. Check it out by Clicking here.

The Diagnosis
Well, I found out why it hurts so bad to write or walk or do anything. I have a pinched nerve in my back. I'm allowed to go back to work with very strict orders to only work 4 hr shifts and I must take a 15 minute break every two hours. I am not allowed to do hardly anything physical, but I'm glad to be able to work again!
I start physical therapy tomorrow. Hopefully that will help get me back to where I can sit down and write!
I'm going kinda crazy with all the subplots and characters swirling around my head. Can't wait to get them all out on paper!
I've reached my limit. My shoulders, back and neck are tingling again, so I'm gonna lay down for the night.
The Comment option is now working. Click the little link below that says 0 comments, and post from there. I welcome all feedback and of course, stories and experiences from other writers. Thanks!

A New Banner
Hey Readers!
I have made a new banner to help promote this blog. I am trying to get the word out. Many authors blog, and some about writing, but I'm writing my first novel ever and sharing my experiences with the world! I think it's pretty unique. Anyway, enjoy this spiffy banner. Let me know what you think. LOVE TO ALL~

Update from the Author
Well, I spent a week signing paperwork and getting everything together for my new job as a file clerk. It was a great job. Laid back boss, easy work, day passed fast, and it paid $11/hr.
The bad news? After 2 days of working, my shoulders were killing me and my neck was burning with pain. I figured I was just sore from working until Sunday morning when I hadn't worked since Friday and I was still in insane pain. I went to the Dr. where they notified me that because it happened at work, they must claim it as a worker's comp case. Then they told me I cannot go back to work until after my appointment at occupational health tomorrow, when they can find out exactly what's wrong and if I'm able to go back to that job or one like it. So far, all they've told me is that I have a repetitive stress injury in my neck and shoulders.
Anyway, this has also hindered my writing. I can't write for more than ten or 15 minutes without experiencing immense pain. I've got two pages written in the last two days. I can usually write that much in 1/2 hour.
So, now you all know what's going on and what I've been up to. In the latest scene, Bailey and Trinity are working the day shift at the diner and Thomas shows up with his sidekick Chris, obnoxious and drunk at 9am. I'm sure you can just imagine the drama that's going to come from that!
I hope to get some more scenes written when my pain subsides a little. I'm really enjoying seeing the pieces of the story coming together.
I'll be back soon with more updates....

An Update
I haven't been writing a whole lot lately. I've been busy preparing for and holding yard sales, applying for jobs, updating my resume, and so on.
I have a few ideas floating around in my head for Bailey and Trinity. They get into trouble when Melinda goes to visit her parents for the weekend. They throw a huge party at the house, the cops get called, and they both end up in jail. How will they get out of this one? You'll see in the book....
I'm kind of sold on naming the book "Girls of Greentree". What do you think?? Please comment and give me your opinion.

Bailey and Thomas
Bailey's boyfriend Thomas is, well, a douche bag. He was nice in the beginning, like all boys, but he helped Bailey get hooked on pills, he cheats on her, and he talks to her like she's a piece of shit.
Everyone knows someone like Thomas, the kind of person who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. But the thing about people like that? Karma's a bitch, and it'll bite you in the ass every time.
His mother was never around, and when she was, his dad would torment her and beat her daily. He expects women to put up with this treatment.
I think Bailey will eventually find the strength to leave him, but she's gonna have to deal with her addiction to the pills first. I haven't decided how she's going to go about her recovery yet (home detox, rehab, Suboxone, 12 step meetings, etc.). We'll see how that works out.
It's funny, the characters seem to give me the story as it goes on. That's the cool thing about writing fiction. You go where your characters take you.
Anyone else out there working on a book? Comment and share your experiences...I'd love to hear them. Until next time......

Scenes Written :)
I have written quite a few scenes over the past couple days. My internet has been so touch-and-go though, I haven't been able to work much on the website or this blog.
I just got done rollerblading with my kids Angel, 9 years old and Alena, 7 years old. We had a blast! And right now, with the endorphins still running through me, I'm feeling very creative, so I'm going to start a new scene. Hmmm....maybe Bailey gets in a horrific car accident. We shall see....

Bailey Lennox
Introduction
Welcome to my blog! My name is Missy Bracewell, and I have recently decided that I want to write a mainstream fiction novel, focusing on current events and controversies mixed in with comedy, romance, and suspense.
I have purchased close to 20 books that explain plot development, character traits, story structure, dialogue, settings, etc. While in the midst of studying these informative books, I have been developing my story and characters little by little.
The main character is Bailey Lennox. She is a strawberry blonde hottie with two roommates and a less-than-stellar boyfriend. Bailey has a huge problem. After a car accident that broke several of her ribs and caused whiplash, she was prescribed and became addicted to prescription pills (vicodin).
How will Bailey get rid of her abusive boyfriend? And her deadly addiction? You'll have to stay tuned to find out.
