Update from the Author

Well, I spent a week signing paperwork and getting everything together for my new job as a file clerk. It was a great job. Laid back boss, easy work, day passed fast, and it paid $11/hr.

The bad news? After 2 days of working, my shoulders were killing me and my neck was burning with pain. I figured I was just sore from working until Sunday morning when I hadn't worked since Friday and I was still in insane pain. I went to the Dr. where they notified me that because it happened at work, they must claim it as a worker's comp case. Then they told me I cannot go back to work until after my appointment at occupational health tomorrow, when they can find out exactly what's wrong and if I'm able to go back to that job or one like it. So far, all they've told me is that I have a repetitive stress injury in my neck and shoulders.

Anyway, this has also hindered my writing. I can't write for more than ten or 15 minutes without experiencing immense pain. I've got two pages written in the last two days. I can usually write that much in 1/2 hour.

So, now you all know what's going on and what I've been up to. In the latest scene, Bailey and Trinity are working the day shift at the diner and Thomas shows up with his sidekick Chris, obnoxious and drunk at 9am. I'm sure you can just imagine the drama that's going to come from that!

I hope to get some more scenes written when my pain subsides a little. I'm really enjoying seeing the pieces of the story coming together.

I'll be back soon with more updates....

Stay with it Melissa! I will follow your blog. I find the story of YOU to be as interesting as the girls of greentree. I am a writer myself. It may be unfortunate about your physical particulars, although I would hasten to suggest from my own experience that you might let that help you with the story...anon. Sincerely G.Thomas
